"HOMEPIECES" in MCKINNEY

For me, a big part of making things is finding the inspiration for new projects, and shops like this are really inspiring.   So today I'm blogging about another great little shop in McKinney, Texas.  Vicki, the owner of HOMEPIECES, has so many beautiful things and a knack for displaying them.  This shop is full of texture - old silver, nubby branches in antique metal pieces, chippy wood, and beautifully detailed picture frames.  She also has all kinds of great old signage.

So, here it is - enjoy!
(See that cute little sign in the background - "THE FLEA"?
FYI - that's a great little shop too!)
Aren't these frames beautiful?
I just love these old wire baskets!
Thank you, Vicki, for the opportunity to take some photos of your awesome little shop.

See you next winter!

ANTHROPOLOGIE - ALLEN, TX

One of my favorite stops in any town, is Anthropologie.  It's such a great place to get ideas for crafting or decorating.  I can see where Karen's site, The Graphics Fairy, could come in handy in replicating some of these things - the towels . . . the glasses . . . wrappings for "tin can" candles . . . the possibilities are endless!!!

Enjoy the tour!

And, tomorrow, some pictures from another great little shop in McKinney!

Right now, it's time to pack my bag and head back to the northland!
